General Manager   

Brian Schneider is the longtime General Manager of Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge on British Columbia’s Babine River. With 27 seasons under his belt, he's a cornerstone of the lodge’s legacy and one of the most respected names in steelhead fishing.

Known for his deep knowledge of the river and easygoing leadership, Brian has helped make Silver Hilton a place guests and staff return to year after year. His dedication runs deep—protecting the fish, the lodge, and the experience that makes it all so special.

Head Guide

Mark "Bazil" MacAneeley is a steelheading legend and the heart of Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge, where he’s been guiding since 1996. With a lifelong passion for steelhead, Mark’s expertise stretches from the Babine River to the coastal streams of Vancouver Island, where he also guides for winter steelhead.

When he’s not on the river, Mark leads the guiding team at Langara Island Lodge, a renowned saltwater operation focused on Chinook and Coho salmon. His vast experience, unmatched skill, and deep love for the sport have made him a true icon in the steelhead world.

Guide

Dave "Beano" Holland has been a guiding force at Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge since 2004, bringing his unparalleled passion for steelhead fishing to every trip. A true Bulkley Valley native, Dave grew up on these waters and fishes at every opportunity, making him one of the most knowledgeable and dedicated guides around.

When he's not on the river, Dave thrives in the exploration business, managing and setting up remote camps in some of the most rugged terrain. His blend of expertise, local knowledge, and adventurous spirit makes him a standout in the steelhead world and a guest favorite at Silver Hilton.

​Triple Header Guide

Brennan is a seasoned fishing guide at the Triple Header Camp of the Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge, located along British Columbia's Babine River.

Known for his deep knowledge of the river and steelhead behavior, Brennan ensures guests experience the best of this remote and exclusive fishery. His approachable demeanor and commitment to conservation make him a favorite among returning anglers.

Hostess

Danielle has been with the Silver Hilton on and off since 2004.

In the off season she works from her studio in Rossland as an artist specializing in stained glass, and travelling every chance she gets.

Chef - Main Lodge

With a deep love for wild places and fresh, regional ingredients, Lara Gillespie brings creativity and heart to every dish she prepares at Silver Hilton.

Drawing from years of culinary experience and a background in farm-to-table cooking, she’s known for her warm hospitality, thoughtful menus, and ability to turn local ingredients into something truly special.

Expeditor

A mother, and former Chef at Silver Hilton. Danielle has taken the position of  expeditor and Liason in Smithers looking after our guests on the inbound and outbound portions of their trip. In addition Danielle supplies us with everything we need to keep the operation running smooth.

When not with the Silver Hilton, Danielle expedites for other operations in and around the Bulkley Valley.
